Knew this company for years and always wanted a modern chesterfield sofa.
Sofa arrived all very good until we realised that it didn’t have enough legs to support the large sofa, it had only four legs and nothing in the middle.
So we contacted them which was tricky as they never answer the phone or email. In the interim we had to support the middle of the sofa on books because even sitting on it. It felt like a trampoline.
It took 3 weeks for them to send some spare legs to us. Which should of just screwed in.
But they didn’t, again trying to get hold of them was a struggle. Got through to them and someone came out after about 4 weeks. To try and fix the sofa.
They couldn’t fix it because the frame hadn’t been made correctly, and there was no middle bracing to put the legs into.
We decided to keep this sofa until a replacement was made. They said we would be a priority, the sofa arrived a week before Christmas, some four months after the first one, but arrived totally in the wrong colour.
The drivers contacted them and they said that it was the fabric manufacturers fault because that is the fabric material and colour you ordered. Eventually, after another 4 months, the replacement sofa arrived in April 2018 !! Even this was only after the threat of court action.
We now have the right sofa, but supplied with the wrong cushions. They’re too small, seemingly for a smaller sofa, leaving a 2 inch gap in the middle when payed flat on the sofa. On top of this they’re only filled with polyester fibre, so are flat and misshapen after 2 weeks, at least the previous cushions were foam filled.
Abode now refuse to answer any phone calls or emails, and it looks like we’re back to court action for the second time to get a full refund.
We’re totally stuck and have nowhere to go, neither Josh nor Matt Coleman, have no interest, lie constantly, and ignore any form of contact if possible.
If it was possible to leave a negative rating we would. Never has ‘buyer beware’ been more fitting. Don’t waste your money.
